Anti-Sex Ed School Board Member Posts Porn to Facebook

A school board member from Ohio uploaded a link from a porn site through a Facebook post concerning critical race theory and the dangers of sex education being taught to her students.

According to the news outlet Fox19, the school board member from Lakota Darbi Boddy’s Facebook post contradicted the notion that the constituency would hire a firm to assess the curriculum for objectionable content without critical race theory.

The edited post listed subjects that she finds objectionable, including mentions of social justice, Black Lives Matter, inclusion, equity, diversity, and “discussion about masturbation or anything that is being taught besides 100% abstinence.”

For her final point, she listed several websites that provide age-appropriate sex education for teens— as well as a porn site.

According to Fox19, school board member President Lynda O’Connor said, “To post a link of pornographic content on a public-school board member account which many students easily look at is unacceptable. Additionally, publicly accusing that the curriculum includes such pornographic material is appalling.”

Boddy said in a Facebook post that it was a typing error, “and even though it wasn’t meant to be part of my rant, it still represents the sickening material that is put in front of our teens. If a typing error brings much more notice to this issue, so be it.

The problem with critical race theory used in middle schools is part of a wider culture war waging within middle schools nationwide that has been ongoing for months.

The education department in Florida rejected 55 math textbooks for its grade school K-12 curriculum, saying they “incorporate unsolicited strategies or prohibited topics, which include [critical race theory].”
