George St. Pierre learned how to wrestle because of a victim of bullying.
George Saint Pierre was back home in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, visiting his parents and pulled up to red light as some homeless man walked up to his car asking him for money.
Pierre quickly realized the boy used to bully him on the bus when he was in grade school.
This guy was about three years Rushes senior and would beat him up and bully him almost daily for years.
One day when George was about 10-years-old when George told his dad about his bullying.
His dad went over to the bully’s home and spoke to his alcoholic drunk at the time, father.
GSP’s Bullying Stories
The father would beat the kid in front of George’s dad.
Pierre’s dad would explain why the bully’s mean behaviour was due to the abuse he suffered at his father’s hands.
His bully grew up to learn how to communicate through violence.
George never got angry with the guy but gave his ex bully, now homeless man whatever money he had on him and told him to get out of here, off the street, you have more potential than this, and you’re a good-looking guy.
One day GSP went over to his parent’s house, and his dad was there and said, a couple of days ago, a man stopped by here for you.
I told him you hadn’t lived here in years, but he passed along a message f0r you. He told me he took your advice, got a job a month ago and now has a place and a girlfriend.
George “Rush” Pierre would have never been wrestling if it wasn’t for his bully constantly beating him up as a child.
His bully might have never gotten off the streets if it wasn’t for George’s chance meeting and generosity.
Bullying to MMA
Mixed martial arts teach people proper discipline and have significant cognitive enhancement.
MMA is the best way to start a kid’s day.
Take it from the world champion and Candian George Saint Pierre, not only one of the greatest welterweights who ever lived but amongst one of the greatest athletes who has ever lived.
George Saint Pierre is one of those people who, if one is lucky enough, will see in their lifetime the intelligent, specialized human that people can be proud to say this is what a true hero looks like.
He will stop and have tea with your grandmother and double leg your friend for speaking to her the wrong way.
A true champion, those who compose themselves and when they win or lose.
His best true self is always at his best, caring for others as he does for himself.
George bears all and leaves nothing to the imagination, no secrets, lies, nothing but him at his finest. Always reading, he likes books about how to become the best.
A wicked warrior, a master of the mind, some would say he is living in a higher dimension.
His sensory awareness is sharper than a samurai sword.
He will strike in every way and have you spinning on your head like a hip-hop artist.
Only his opponents don’t get back up.
So when you dedicate your entire life to becoming a tunnel fucking vision in a specific aspect of life, you put in your Malcolm Gladwell’s 10,000 hours, and you prevail a true champion.
Winners and Losers
In this world, only winners can succeed.
Loses quit and give up.
Pierre is an artist of a sport filled with killers, hungry like bears coming out of hibernation.
Most will never make it, and those who do better have secret weapons ready to deploy at any moment.
Rush has many tricks and will dominate you due to excessive practicing.
Mix martial arts (MMA) is as much psychological warfare as fighting first-hand on the battlefield.
Put two explosive soldiers in the middle of the metal cage and let them duke it out.
They said George has been out of the game too long.
The sport has evolved past its old ways.
He brought a show so incredible it stunned the populous, as it stunned professions lay speechless upon his greatness.
He carries himself so well in and out of the ring that it is hard to point to a better champion in any sport.
In most other sports, you must rely on others. In MMA, you, yourself, and hopefully, your best self.
The first thing you learn to do any martial art is respect, and you know to clean up your life and become the best you that person can be.
Become more like George in your everyday life and watch the excuses diminish, as there is nothing you can’t master.
